HERE IS THE EASTBOUND TRAVELER PLOTTING HIS NEXT MOVE, WHICH IS, WAIT FOR THE TOW TRUCK.

LOADING THE TRUCK WITH THE SICK HOG AND TRAILER. THE ASSISTANT TOOK THIS ONE.

GOT THE ASSISTANT TO TAKE THIS ONE TOO. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I DECIDED TO POSE LIKE THIS. I GUESS I
WAS LOOKING FOR EVEN SMALL VICTORIES. LIKE, SUCCESSFULLY LOADING THE RIG ON THE TRUCK.

YAAAAAAAAY !!!!!!

THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE THRILL OF A LIFETIME JUST TO SEE ONE ELK, ESPECIALLY ONE OF THIS STATURE.

TO SEE FOUR OF THESE BEASTIES WOULD HAVE BEEN UNHEARD OF.

THIS LOOKED LIKE A FOREST OF DEAD TREES TO ME, WHEN I FIRST SAW THEM ALL.  ALL TROPHY BULLS

THERE WERE 28 BULL ELK ALONG THE RIGHT OF WAY FENCE OF ROUTE 2. THIS IS ONLY A FEW OF THEM.

      Hi Mark,
I don't know if you remember me, but we went to St. Leonard's together. I was at my 40th East Detroit High School reunion last Saturday, and Linda Jarkey told me about what you were doing and gave me you website, I think it is incredible and inspiring. What a great tribute to your wife, Mary. She must have been an awesome woman to have touched so many lives. You are a living tribute to her memory.
I support what you are doing and think it is a wonderful thing as well as an ingenious way to bring attention to such a terrible disease. I hope your efforts raise countless dollars towards a cure. Father Zeeb would be proud of you. I am proud to know you. You always loved playing the drums, as I remember. And you were always a pretty happy guy with an easy smile for everyone. I will follow your progress and pray that you have clear roads and touch more people.
      All My Best,

Yoikes! What happened to the "Hog?" Those Bulls are Magnificent. They can make one feel very tiny.

      Hey Mark!

Been following your progress; very impressive. So what's up with your bike.....Harley's don't break down. Eric and I just got back from Sturgis, SD last Friday; did 3,226 miles in 7 days. Not much compared to what you are doing. We had a great time and "Steve Killutica" was with us as well....she really enjoyed it. Drop a line Mark, let me know how you are doing and if there is anything I can do to help get the Harley back in commission.

      Remembering you in my prayers,

      Franz

WOW! I an see why you thought those guys were a stand of dead trees! Pretty amazing sight!

Glad you made it through the blown tire episode intact (although until you see the invoice from the arley dealer, we won't know HOW intact you survived!) :^) At least you stopped, made it off the road, and made it to a dealer and a town safely. That's what counts.

      Mark,
Where the heck were all these elk when I was in Colorado hunting? Yeah I know in N.Dakota. Great photos thanks. Ride safe my friend.

Very glad to see that you still have your great sense of humor. Victory, victory is your cry...v-i-c-t-o-r-y! Maybe the bike and trailer wanted someone to carry THEM for a change. At least the event continued to take you east!

      HiMark
I first opened the photos of your blow tire and I got a sick feeling in my stomach. Thank God that you're okay. I think the photo of you successfully standing by your HOG loaded on the back of the tow truck speaks the joy of life and success in keeping the thing on the road and upright with that tire going. Whew! Thank God and a clear head.
That photo is also pretty cool. You're standing in the space between your bike and trailor and at a quick glance, the bike looks to be twenty feet long!
The elk are astounding....sooo many! Yet another blessing of your trip, Take care as you head into the homestretch
